best outcome possible. They will address your concerns and you will not be left wondering what is happening with your case.
I was involved in a hit-and-run accident back in the winter of last year. Fearful that the other driver took off and would be gone in the wind, I immediately worked with state troopers assigned to the incident, and sought a lawyer. I didn’t know exactly where to look, so I started my search online. Reading all of the great reviews about how attentive, precise, and supportive this law firm was, it became my first choice of the few I had found.
During my treatment phase of the case (almost the first 10 months), I was contacted by the firm very infrequently to be updated on my case. This is my first accident of the sort, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I just felt like the level of attentiveness contradicted what I had to read in the reviews. During the beginning of the bill collecting phase (the end of this past summer), I was told by my case manager at the time that the case would progress once the firm received my medical bills that they had requested from my clinic.
I’m very familiar with the clinic because I’ve been a patient since I was a child. Once I got off the phone with the firm, I called over to my clinic just to confirm that they got the lawyers request for the bills. My clinic informed me that no one ever reached out to them, and asked me for the lawyers information so they could send it over that day. Feeling like maybe I wasn’t satisfied with the service because I wasn’t being proactive with my case enough, I started contacting the firm almost twice a month (via phone or email every 2 weeks) just to get an update about the progress of the case. Interactions with case-managers at the firm are always very cordial.
Since then, the firm has switched case managers of my case three times, I get different answers on the status of my case depending on who I speak to at the time, and have been told that they have requested or are requesting necessary bills the week I speak to them only for it to be done a week or two later. Some of my phone calls or emails never even got a response.
Unfortunately, I have not felt the same level of security or attentiveness to my case that I looked forward to based on the reviews. I really don’t know what I expected since I have never been to the firm in person, or had any face-to-face interactions with the people I’ve talked to over the phone. At this point, I can only hope for positive case results, and maybe not just go with any firm I find on the Internet. Again, my interactions with people from the firm have always been very cordial, just not sure how effectively the case is being handled.
