David Hill is an excellent attorney. His thorough analysis and advocacy are impressive, both at the trial court and appellate court level. Without reservation I highly recommend Mr. Hill.

David Hill gave me terrible legal advice for a 2nd degree trespassing charge in 2016. I ended up having to hire a different lawyer to take care of the problems that his bad legal care caused 3 years later. He wanted 1500$ to fix his own mistake, so I ended up paying $2500 to a different lawyer because there was no way I was going to trust him a second time. He convinced me to do a diversion because it was easier for him and I am finding out now that it would have been better to actually fight the charge. Find a good lawyer, NOT David Hill.

I was falsely accused of domestic violence (DV4) on August 12th 2016 in a very harsh retaliation attack from my ex girlfriend because I evicted her out of my home. She told the DA I had attacked and beat her two weeks prior to me evicting her, but waited two days after I evicted her to report it. Even though a deputy sheriff was aware of the entire situation and was present during the eviction the DA still wanted to charge me even though I was completely innocent of the allegations against me. After posting bail, I immediately researched for the best lawyer that handles domestic violence charges in Oregon. The choice was clear, so I called David Hill and he set up an appointment for me immediately. Myself being a combat wounded veteran with 5 combat tours and being diagnosed PTSD I was sure the DA was going to go for the max punishment and take away my gun rights. I could not believe this was happening to me, my anxiety hit the roof and severe depression set in immediately. Once I had my first meeting with David Hill, he also being a veteran, he clearly could see my emotional state and asked me my side of what took place. David quickly assured me that he could and would defeat the charges against me in court and explained to me that this happens more than people think. He clearly went over the process of fighting the false charges and was extremely knowledgeable of the Justice system. By the time I left his office I had a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I had a total of 3 court appearances before a judge and the DA and my ex girlfriend failed to appear to any one of them. I firmly believe that David Hill built such a solid case for me that the DA feared being embarrassed in front of the Judge and the court. The DA continuously kept pushed my final court date back month after month because they were trying to build a case stronger than David Hills, but they finally realized it was pointless and gave up and dropped all charges 5 months after my arrest date. I never in my life thought I'd be in front of a Judge, especially being innocent! So please don't think this can't happen to you! If you do find yourself in this situation remember there are rules you must follow, 1st rule is the police are defiantly NOT your friend! 2nd rule is the police are allowed to lie to you! 3rd rule is do not be a potty mouth! 4th rule is treat the authorities with the upmost respect, they are only following orders from the DA. The final and most important rule is to contact David Hill immediately! Failure to do so could negatively affect the rest of your life. David Hill will give you instructions and guidance throughout the entire process, it would be in your best interest to listen and do exactly what he says when he says, your future really does depend on it! I rate my experience with David Hill a solid 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend him to defend you.
