If you're looking for a tough lawyer that will fight hard for you Erik Wallen is your guy! He helped me steer through a very scary divorce/custody that lasted 2yrs. Without his task oriented, straight forward approach I wouldn't have been able to finish with my head held high and not lose everything. I would definitely hire him again!

Never have I ever talked to a more arrogant , conceited, narcissistic, individual in my life -- all this in about 10 minutes of phone conversation !
He may be a good lawyer but he is a huge A_ _ H_ _ e , My advice like I have done - seek another attorney !!!!! Couldn't give less than one star or he would have it !!

Called firm to speak about a custody case. Very rude and arrogant on the phone. When I called him out about it, told me that I seem to be difficult to work with and told me to find a “charming” lawyer. Interrupted me while trying to talk about my case. Seemed very insensitive when talking to him about my step child, since according to him this is “not my child, so my opinion doesn’t matter” to court maybe not but in conversation I’m the mother he’s had for the last 5 years so to mean and my family it doesn’t matter.

Erik Wallen did an amazing job on my divorce.
He’s direct and mission oriented .
If I ever need a lawyer again he’s definitely the one I would call.

Contrary to the above comments, I went to his office where he was very well informed and analyzed my case for me. Heather’s review shows that she is someone who did not like the free answer she was looking for! I have great confidence in his ability to share kindness. Fairness, and professionalism.

I couldn't agree more with two reviewers other than I disagree that he's a "good lawyer". I was on the receiving end of his bullying tactics; what he didn't understand before he engaged me on that level is there are people in this world that don't succumb to that. I'll go so far as to say that some might even volley back at him using the rules, principles, state laws, and institutions to shine light on how he operates. He's been under review by the State of Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission since November 2018 for well documented blatant procedural disregard and ethical violations. Along with that, he's been made to look like a buffoon in court hearings the past few months. From the previous reviews, it seems he's rethinking taking on cases merely for the billable hours where he may encounter people with a brain that stand their ground.
